Home Search Topics Contact About | Absorbing BlessingToo often we repel the blessings of God like a stone repels water. The blessings of God are first and best enjoyed internally. John 4:24: God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. 2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. The spirit of a man in Christ has been made new. Whereas it was unable to absorb the blessings of God before, it is now able. Ezekiel 11:19: And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: Psalm 51:10: Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. You can*t miss when you ask the Lord to fulfill something that He has already promised. David*s prayer was wise and wonderful. God makes changes in the hearts of both Jews and Gentiles. Acts 15:8-9: And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them (Gentiles) witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; (Jews) 9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. Lord, help us to soak up your blessings like sponges! |
